Colfosco in Alta Badia

At the feet of the natural park Puez-Odle and of the Sella Group

With an altitude of 1.645 m, Colfosco represents the most elevated town of Alta Badia. Situated in the heart of Dolomites at the feet of the Sassongher and of the natural park Puez-Odle on one side and of the Sella Group on the other, Colfosco represents an aspired destination during summer for excursion and climbing lovers, while during winter its central position to the ski circuit of Sella Ronda and its dream slopes render it an obligatory destination for skiing lovers.

During summer it’s possible to undertake numerous excursions and walks directly from our Garnì, without using your car. Ski lifts allow an easy rise, also with your mountain-bike, and in a few hours of walking it’s possible to reach unique landscapes, as the lunar plateaus of the Sella Group, of the Puez-Odle or the peaks of Gran Cir and Sassongher. Very appreciated and frequented is also the iron road of Pisciadù.

During winter you can access directly to the ski tour of Sella Ronda and to the very loved Valle Stella Alpina, that is located above the town. For ski-mountaineering lovers, this is the ideal starting point to reach the Piz de Puez or to penetrate in the Val Mezdì for an exciting free-ride.

The picturesque and gothic church, the photographic emblem of Colfosco, represents an important feature of the town. Colfosco is very appreciated destination by families with children, thanks also to the presence of the animal park and the adventure park, that with its 5 hanging paths put your balance on probation.
